Team Wilder vs Team Breazeale : The Brawl : The Fallout
The weekend was entertaining for the Heavyweight division. Breazeale showed tremendous character to pull out a win against Ugonoh & Wilder does what he normally does, shows flaws before he pulls out his nuclear weapon knock out punch.
Things got interesting the day after. Here is a timeline of what has ALLEGEDLY happened:
First a statement was released by Dominic Breazeale on ‘Social Media’. It included:
“First off I want to take the time to thank God that both me and my opponent came out of the fight unharmed and safe last night. Secondly, I want to address the fact that Deontay Wilder & a mob of about 20 people unprovokedly attacked my team and my family in the lobby last night. My coach and I were blindsided by sucker punches and my team was assaulted as well as in front of my wife and kids. This cowardly attack has no place in boxing and believe me will not go unpunished”.
Shortly afterwards a 2nd Statement is released from Cutman Carlos (Team Breazeale) which can be seen here”:
“Team Dominic Breazeale got attacked & assaulted by Deontay Wilder, friends & a brother. As Dominic was in the lobby of the hotel. Wilder & friends rolled in with Wilder as the leader confronting Breazeale and causing a rumble in the hotel lobby. Breazeale getting hit, coach Robles getting hit, cutman Carlos getting knocked down by the mob, all in front of Dominic’s wife & kids. It was a violent attack by Deontay & his thug friends. The police had to escort all of team Breazeale out of the hotel to a safe location for safety. An unprovoked act by Wilder & his friends that should not go unpunished. The worst I’ve seen in boxing. Such a cowardly act by a group of thug acting individuals. Unbelievable. Truly a cowardly act, at least 20-25 individuals against 4 guys and a women with her children”.Screenshot Link here: https://twitter.com/SuperDuperDario/status/835971376548839429/photo/1
As with any story there are 2 sides. In boxing usually 9 sides to a story exist.
Here is Wilder with his right of reply. He starts by talking about his win and we begin quoting when he talks about this issue.
