Anthony Joshua Fights in Manchester on November 26th

The Business Brain of Eddie Hearn Strikes Again. Your move Team Fury!

So Anthony Joshua’s next bout will be at the Manchester Arena on the 26th of November. Looking at the announcement it seems innocent enough, but from a business perspective it was a master move by Eddie Hearn. Despite constant negotiations continuing and a lack of news, Fury vs Klitschko 2 is likely to go ahead in Manchester in late October. The Fury vs Klitschko 2 card is strong with a fantastic match up between Hughie Fury vs Andy Ruiz Jr being added as the co-main event.

So why is this a master business move by Hearn?

Fury vs Klitschko 2 hadn’t sold out even after the event was open for the public to purchase tickets for over 2 months.

By bringing AJ to the same city & by selling out an Arena within 24 hours, it makes a statement. AJ will probably sell out the venue within a few hours. How can you compare the two? Fury can’t sell out an arena with over a couple of months. Yet AJ does it within a few hours.

This is leverage for when Tyson Fury & Anthony Joshua finally fight, which will be in the near future. Despite Tyson Fury possibly bringing most of the belts into the potential unification bout, it will easily be around the 50-50 margin, or even slightly geared to AJ due to his huge gate’s & PPV results.

Maybe we are over looking it. But Eddie Hearn is a bright guy. This is just another master step, which can be used as leverage & comparisons during future negotiations.
