Billy Dib’s Reputation Grows In Defeat. Professional and Classy

Billy Dib may have lost to Miura in Japan last week. But his reputation has grown amongst boxing and sports fans. Dib’s bout with Miura was broadcast on Channel 9, which is free to air television in Australia.

I scored the first two rounds for Dib, who got a little lazy while in the corner in the 3rd round and got caught. When you fight such a huge puncher, these things happen. But once again Dib showed sportsmanship and maturity beyond his years.

Dib is extremely marketable as a Professional Boxer. He speaks well, portrays a good image and comes across as a humble and friendly athlete. We saw this again on the weekend. Despite loosing heavily on Friday night, he flew back and did an interview for free to air television on Sunday Morning.

Dib shows the true Aussie spirit. But he also shows what boxing is all about. Regardless if you win or lose, fighting the best and continuing to test himself against world class fighters, speaks volumes for his legacy.

Billy Dib is a class act & he has a big future in media in Australia. I expect he will also have success with corporate dealings. His career may be at a crossroads. But the Image Dib has created has ensured his future after boxing is bright.
