This looks like being a great crossroads fight. Trout is coming back from two rough losses to Erislandy Lara & Canelo Alvarez. Mundine is having a career resurgence after an impressive win against unbeaten prospect Sergey Rabchenko.
The power edge is with Mundine, always has been. Sometimes the Australian doesn’t sit down on his punches, which is rather suprising. Trout is most likely the better boxer at the moment. But his last two performances have looked rather lackluster.
I think Mundine could cause an upset here and potentially could win through stoppage. However I wouldn’t be surprised if Trout won by UD. I guess it depends what Mundine shows up. Always has been a wildcard. He can be horrible on his off days, but he can be a very cagey veteran when he is switched on. I assume we might see a motivated Mundine. Should be a great fight. A lot on the line for both fighters. The winner will likely be in line to fight Lara or Canelo again, or potential a Demetrius Andrade.
